Background:

Peripheral plasma membrane protein CASK belongs to the MAGUK family. CASK is a multidomain scaffolding protein with a role in synaptic transmembrane protein anchoring and ion channel trafficking. CASK contributes to neural development and regulation of gene expression via interaction with the transcription factor TRB1 and binds to cell-surface proteins, including amyloid precursor protein, neurexins and syndecans. CASK may mediate a link between the extracellular matrix and the actin cytoskeleton via its interaction with syndecan and with the actin/spectrin-binding protein 4.1.

Other Names:

Peripheral plasma membrane protein CASK, hCASK, LIN2, Calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine protein kinase, Protein lin-2 homolog

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human CASK. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
