Background:

Caspase-7 (CASP7) belongs to the peptidase C14A family. CASP7 is involved in the activation cascade of caspases responsible for apoptosis execution. CASP7 cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins (SREBPs). CASP7 proteolytically cleaves poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) at a '216-Asp-|-Gly-217' bond. Overexpression of CASP7 promotes programmed cell death.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human CASP7. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
