Background:

Caspase-14 (CASP14) belongs to the peptidase C14A family and is believed to be a non-apoptotic caspase involved in epidermal differentiation. CASP14 seems to play a role in keratinocyte differentiation and cornification. CASP14 probably regulates maturation of the epidermis by proteolytically processing filaggrin.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human CASP14. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
