Quantity: 100 ul                                                                                     Application: WB

Predicted I Observed M.W.: 37 I 33 kDa                                                Uniprot ID: P33157

PR2 is implicated in the defense of plants against pathogens. PR2 is not involved in plasmodesmal callose degradation and in the gating of plasmodesmata during tobamovirus infection. Expression of this gene is salicylic-acid inducible.

Other Names:

Pathogenesis-related protein 2, AT3G57260, ATPR2

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of arabidopsis thaliana PR2 (AT3G57260). Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Arabidopsis thaliana

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:500-1:2,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.

Product Data:

PR2 Antibody Western (Abiocode)

Fig 1. A) Western blot analysis of equal amounts of protein extracts from wild type Arabidopsis leaves untreated (Unt) or treated with 1mM salicylic acid (SA) for 48hr as indicated, using anti-PR2 (C) (R3505-2) at RT for 2 h. The mature form of PR2 protein after signal peptide removal is observed to be 33kD (Henanff et al., 2009, BMC Plant Bio., 9:54).
