Background:

Serine/threonine-protein kinase 19 (STK19) is a serine/threonine kinase localizes predominantly to the nucleus. Its specific function is unknown; it is possible that phosphorylation of STK19 is involved in transcriptional regulation. STK19 can phosphorylate casein-alpha on serine and threonine residues and histones on serine residues in vitro. The STK19 gene localizes to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class III region on chromosome 6 and expresses two transcript variants.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the C-terminal region of human STK19. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.
