Background:

STEAP family member 3 (STEAP3) is an endosomal ferrireductase required for efficient transferrin-dependent iron uptake in erythroid cells.  It participates in erythroid iron homeostasis by reducing Fe(3+) to Fe(2+) and may play a role in copper homeostasis reducing Cu(2+) to Cu(1+).  It may also play a role downstream of p53 to interface apoptosis and cell cycle.  STEAP3 is indirectly involved in exosome secretion by facilitating the secretion of proteins such as TCTP.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse STEAP3.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
