vPair^TM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. Background:

Target of rapamycin complex subunit LST8 (MLST8) belongs to the WD repeat LST8 family and is a subunit of both mTORC1 and mTORC2, which regulates cell growth and survival in response to nutrient and hormonal signals. mTORC1 is activated in response to growth factors or amino acids. Growth factor-stimulated mTORC1 activation involves a AKT1-mediated phosphorylation of TSC1-TSC2, which leads to the activation of the RHEB GTPase that potently activates the protein kinase activity of mTORC1.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with GST-fusion proteins containing either the N-terminal [MLST8 (N) (R0860-1)] or the C-terminal [MLST8 (C) (R0860-3)] region of human MLST8. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
