Background:

Protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type C (PTPRC, B220) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family.  PTPs are signaling molecules that regulate a multitude of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle and oncogenic transformation.  B220 is expressed in hematopoietic cells where it acts as a positive regulator of T-cell co-activation upon binding to DPP4.  It also suppresses JAK kinase and therefore functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of mouse B220.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
