vPairTM antibodies represent a pair of fully characterized antibodies that recognize two different regions of a target protein. The product is developed by Abiocode to address whether the signal observed truly represents the protein of interest, an often encountered issue in antibody-based assays. The use of a pair of fully characterized vPairTM antibodies in the same assay can validate signal specificity since vPairTM antibodies recognize two independent epitopes of the same protein. Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 1 (SATB1) is a chromatin organizer and transcription factor that integrates chromatin architecture with gene regulation. SATB1 binds to nuclear matrix/scaffold-associating AT-rich DNA sequences (MARs/SARs). It has been shown that SATB1 interacts with promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML), and that SATB1 and PML function as a regulatory complex that controls transcription by restructuring the dynamic chromatin-loop architecture. SATB1 is implicated as a key regulator of the differentiation and activation of T cells. In cancer, SATB1 has been shown to reprogram chromatin organization and the transcription profiles of breast tumors to promote growth and metastasis.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing either the N-terminal [SATB1 (N) (R0009-1)] or the C-terminal [SATB1 (C) (R0009-2)] regions of human SATB1. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
