Background:

Fanconi anemia, complementation group I (FANCI) is required for maintenance of chromosomal stability.  It plays a role in the repair of DNA double-strand breaks by homologous recombination and in the repair of DNA cross-links.  In response to DNA damage it is involved in the S phase and G2 phase checkpoints of the cell cycle.  FANCI also promotes FANCD2 ubiquitination and recruitment to DNA repair sites.  Fanconi anemia is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder characterized by cytogenetic instability, hypersensitivity to DNA crosslinking agents, increased chromosomal breakage and defective DNA repair.

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing the N-terminal region of human FANCI.  Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen. 

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN₃. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.
