Background:

UV excision repair protein RAD23 homolog B (RAD23B) belongs to the RAD23 family and is a multiubiquitin chain receptor involved in modulation of proteasomal degradation. RAD23B binds to polyubiquitin chains. RAD23B is proposed to be capable to bind simultaneously to the 26S proteasome and to polyubiquitinated substrates and to deliver ubiquitinated proteins to the proteasome. RAD23B may play a role in endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) of misfolded glycoproteins by association with PNGase and delivering deglycosylated proteins to the proteasome.

Other Names:

UV excision repair protein RAD23 homolog B, HR23B, hHR23B, XP-C repair-complementing complex 58 kDa protein, p58

Source and Purity:

Rabbit polyclonal antibodies were produced by immunizing animals with a GST-fusion protein containing N-terminal region of human RAD23B. Antibodies were purified by affinity purification using immunogen.

Storage Buffer and Condition:

Supplied in 1 x PBS (pH 7.4), 100 ug/ml BSA, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% NaN3. Store at -20 °C. Stable for 6 months from date of receipt.

Species Specificity:

Human, Mouse

Tested Applications:

WB: 1:1,000-1:3,000 (detect endogenous protein*)

*: The apparent protein size on WB may be different from the calculated M.W. due to modifications.
